I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
